I'm usually pretty good at identifying these things myself as I'm a hobbyist antique-er and also history major.
I know that this radio, the Thomas Collector's Edition, was not in fact built in 1932, but was actually built in 1989 (thus still making it considered a "classic" by its age) and is only a replica of the original cathedral styled radios of it's would-be day.
I realized it was far fetched to say it was simply and old radio with a built in cassette, but then I was just being silly. I actually enjoy these things and know quite a bit about what it is I buy.
