Author Topic: Bricks sheltering from rain & snow  (Read 2714 times)

Yeah, a wand or something could be rigged up to generate a physical zone on the brick,  there is no need for a trigger on the brick.  when the brick is destroyed, the physical zone would have to be destroyed also.

Truthfully I would love to do this, but I'm not entirely sure the most efficient way to do it, and I'm sure there are more experienced coders out there that do.

Love the idea though

Edit;
I would actually prefer the precipitation being a preference in the Event GUI, as in RayCasting would also be the toggle for allowing/disallowing precipitation.

Or maybe its own pref, but of course both would require actual game modification, which probably won't happen :c

sorry if this is stated in the thread in OP, I didn't exactly read through it

so you're making a zone INSIDE the brick?

no, the idea is a script that turns every brick placed/loaded automatically into a zone so rain does not fall through it. if the script where to automatically a event each brick, it would be nice if the event would be hidden too in case events are cleared by mistake.

Lol, I tried eventing all the bricks exposed to precipitation into zones, it turned out to be too many zones.
