Author Topic: Weird-ass things you thought when you started playing  (Read 3412 times)

I was too scared to go off of the top of the Slopes map into the foggy area. You would fall into a void. Until I learned that the maps were infinite. I also- You know what. That's the only one I can remember. Another thing is that I played Blockland Before ROBLOX.

I thought eventing was witchcraft.
I thought Cal the Great was a good name.
I thought forums and RTB cost extra.
I thought you could only use red bricks. (Never did tutorial until I didn't need it)
I thought whatever you built stayed there unless hit by a hammer.

hooray

I thought that when you joined a server you got all the addons from it.

I used to think the printer put random posters on wherever you shot it, then when I realized it didn't work I was going
"WHAT THE forget WHAT DOES THIS PRINTER DO"

I thought Kalphiter was Ephialtes, always confused those two names for some reason.
Also didn't know that you can move bricks easily with the numpad, I always clicked and clicked at first until it was into the correct position.

New idea: After the first time a key get's entered, tutorial autostarts.

Should help so many people.

When I first started, I thought wrench events was something I could never obtain or understand.
Also, that a non-colliding brick was a glitch.

I really thought if you played demo you played with Riddler

I didn't know how to scroll paint or tools so I Googled how to do it and found out
I had the demo in v8 and had Trap Bricks mod Space Guy made. After v9 came out, and after I bought the game in v11, I looked desperately for the mod but to no avail.
Before we had the map installation system we have (well, had), it was a complex task to install maps. You had to put certain files here, other files there, etc. I never got it right and no maps ever worked correctly for me.

No you didnt

I thought Eliptats was Riddler.

One time, I thought you could build vehicles in game out of bricks, and then take all the textures and everything just by saving the build, and run them through a program to make a new vehicle add-on. Ends up I wasted an hour and a half of my life.
You can do this.

I used to think there was something beyond the haunting beauty of slate, but it was merely the wonder of the map that brought me the thought.

Night maps were haunted and mysterious.

"HOW THE forget DO I GET AD-ONES!?"

I use to have handicapped names
