Er, you might want to restart steam then check your library. Then you will be able to start it.

Okay I just finished Black mesa and to be honest it's pretty challenging , even on "normal" setting. But everything is so detailed - the models , the voice acting , the missions , the scenery hell they even included the healing soda cans of the vending machines.

They even referred to an older concept of Gordon Freeman - after leaving the tram after the intro and getting your door opened , the security guard in the checkpoint says something like "Aw man you cut of your ponytail".

I'm not sure this will fix your problem, but:

Woo, found a fix to my problem.
Installing it to a seperate location, then moving the files into the Sourcemods folder fixes any graphical issues I previously had c:

does the jack-in-the box scientist (The one in the dumpster by the one sewer that you have to fill up to escape) appear in the game?  I didn't get a chance to see him as I fell down the drain right next to it.
