Some developers are dropping their Android apps because it isn't making money.

i would imagine that a multi-million dollar company wouldn't close out on a huge market of android products
and you can't be talking about indie companies, because 1/5 of the top paid on the app store market are indie, compared to 4/6 indie apps on the top paid list of the google play store

Darkness, I'm not making stuff up because I'm bored. Give me some credit would you.

I don't know if it was indie, small business, or a large company. It was an online game which had clients in both iOS and Android, and the developers said they were pulling the Android edition because the upkeep vs sales made no financial sense.

I also know of another developer who canned their game because Android and Google make you cap the app size at 50MB which is stupid, something to do with the way Android downloads things or something. And people say iOS has developer limitations. Pfft.

Droid app store is the most mundane and boring app store I've ever seen. Its all about the apps and Android ain't favorable with developers yet. Some developers are dropping their Android apps because it isn't making money.

You should try touching up a bit on your pro-Apple crusade, roostersucka.

I support a product I like, I'm not pro-Apple or pro-Microsoft because it makes no sense.

I don't know why you people feel the need to pick a side. Its really immature lol.

Let me guess, you think Linux is the answer to the future, and you thought Zune was a worthy opponent to the iPod. Gimme a break, don't be one of those people who stubbornly obtains the crappier option just to make a stand.
I'm not a contrarian. Android apps are equally as stuffty. I have never owned a Zune or used Linux.

That's not even a valid defense anyway. If I'm just picking the bad option to seem intelligent, you should be able to easily dispute my argument in a way that doesn't just attack me.

I find the iOS app store to be highly quality. I love novelty apps. Koi Pond and Distant Shore are lovely apps. Donut Games released some really nice (indie) apps which I own, all arcade style. Pocket God is a fun toy. iBeer is a fun toy. I've got a few crossword and wordfind apps that keep my busy on the bus. Implode is a great physics game. Chuzzle is a classic. Got an app to track buses in my city real-time. Got the odd drawing app. Have Skype of course. So much variety.
I'm pretty sure the Android 'app store' or whatever has enough useless toys for you to drain your wallet on. Either way, just throwing out 6 random titles is not an objective comparison.

I don't follow.

I don't follow.

Oh boy lol.

I support the product, not the company. If you can't tell the difference, well, you shouldn't be having this conversation now should you.

In the world of apps, the iOS store has the best apps and the biggest range. You can say "oh those sucks" but those imaginary "better" apps you can't think of don't exist.

Out of what is physically available and what has ever been developed, the iOS app store is superior to Android. You agreed to this earlier. What is there to argue? You can like Android, that isn't my concern.

are you honestly trying to convince me, that you, Icygamma, do not support Apple?

Prove it.

I have a variety of Windows machines and Macs old and new. I was educated with XP and I only used OSX later on. I appreciate many Google services and I appreciate Apple's philosophy. I appreciate Microsoft's operating system.

I hold no bias to any company. I'm not buying a product based on if the CEO is a douche, or if their marketing is to my taste.

So no, I'm not pro-Apple. I'm pro-iOS, sure.

Prove it.

I'm proving something you agreed with?

Seventh you are tiring me out. Stop arguing for the sake of it. I can't fashion an argument that you'll understand if you keep this up.

When you support a company, you buy their products. This is becoming an argument of semantics.

I'm proving something you agreed with?

where did I agree with it?

Good thing.. I used my phone for a carrot.. and now it's broken..

i've got an android. never had an iphone. the android market is lacking, i can't find any games i really like. i don't want some tiny "lol throw birds at stuff LOLLL!!!" or "run from monkeys". i just want something i can forget around in, put down, and resume later. something that will captivate me. i don't know if iphone has any games like that (i don't assume so) but at the very least it has more variety than the android market.

When you support a company, you buy their products. This is becoming an argument of semantics.

When you said I was pro-Apple, you were saying that I supported the company by arguing for it, supporting its product range entirely, supporting its decisions, and its overall brand. Whether you realized it or not, thats the meaning you gave to it.

I buy products because I want them. If that indirectly "supports" them (support now being used with a different definition) then it just happens to.

Yes, you are putting semantics into the mix. Don't twist things. Its like the only way you can argue is to blur the details and make things messy. And yes, I've had enough of you and your lack of comprehension.

If you can't already see that the iOS store is superior (again, which you already agreed to) then no amount of me talking to you is going to change that. Be stubborn, makes no different to me or the iOS platform.

where did I agree with it?

forget me alive.

You've gotta be trolling me now. I won't let you any further.

Reminds me of Watch_Dogs.

This is, by far, not an objective source.

Lack of comprehension? It's a matter of word choice. I gave a definition but you branched off into a whole other argument about whether buying products means you support a company. Anyway, this is a waste of time. On to the more important point:

If you can't already see that the iOS store is superior (again, which you already agreed to) then no amount of me talking to you is going to change that. Be stubborn, makes no different to me or the iOS platform.
Or you know, maybe it's the fact you haven't proved it. I didn't know a person was capable of surveying two different stores with millions of different apps and being able to quantify cost, quality, and availability into a score you can compare with, so I don't see why it is that because I disagree, it automatically makes me stubborn.

forget me alive.

"forget, he never said that!

'O-oh, y-you gotta be trolling me now, so I'm just gonna stop!'
