Okay, you are wrong on so many levels here.
1. Wtf, yes there are ways to crash a server (with bot events)*, and INSTANTLY I might add, so far I've encountered around 8!
2. You cannot lag the server using relay events alone. I've been over this.
3. Invalid argument. If a server host uses bot events and someone crashes the server or abuses the events, how the hell is that the hosts fault? You're blaming the victim.
Seriously, if you care about them that much you can use it yourself, but Badspot isn't going to un-crapon it. Ever. It needs to be remade, and that's being done.
The worst I know of bot events is making a roaming AI that respawns/kills you on player notice. I have never had any issues with server crashing. Only lag. Easily fixable. If you can provide proof of an event line/lines that result in a crash I would love to test it.
Relays can lag you. If you have several relays in the background running, the server will slow down. This also is dependent on how much the relay is trying to activate and how fast its being refreshed.
Valid Argument. I have never heard of a crash based on Bot Events alone. Most always its accompanied by VCE relay loop and by that logic, VCE should also be scrapped.
You can crash players in multiple ways with only two lines of eventing.
I don't mind that it's crap-ond, there are ways around that. What I do mind is misconceptions of why it was failed.
I know it was not a perfect mod, but there were ways that hosts could keep themselves safe: Don't have it on during public builds and only use it for specific game modes. Everything is abuseable in its own way.
