Uh, Seventh, I just said Yogscast isn't involved in the game development. These guys developing it were basically like "Hey, can we make you a game?" and Yogscast were like "Sure." Not that that makes it any better - the art design is completely wrong. Those pictures of their game art they were so proud of was utterly unfitting of anything even related to them. And the game design is terrible. I can't believe Steam allowed it to be greenlit - I really hope it is kept in limbo there. I like the Yogscast again since they cut down on all the damn scripting, but this game shouldn't exist.

I'm not making that up either. They have actually said that they think they are capable of creating and selling their own game because they complain about patches to World of Warcraft.

You can put it like that or you can consider that actually there are hundreds of games on Steam made on the basis that people think they can make games. If they then use their popularity to get it on a gaming platform then that's just advertising isn't it? The game that the Yogscast now publish more than anything else pretty much did the same thing. Minecraft wouldn't have obtained so much popularity if it wasn't in some way advertised on another incredibly popular site or game.

I'm not sure why people think we need to 'try harder, upgrade engine, promote more' when we're ahead of pretty much 800 other games. Just because we were 70-80th place when 21 games got picked. You do know they most likely picked from the top 50.

Honestly. Blockland is doing good on greenlight. So what if it wasn't picked the first or second time? That just increases our chances for next time. Besides, I'm sure Badspot already has a lot of work to do to get his key system working with steam anyways.
