Which do you think I should get?  I found out I had some money hidden from me, so I'm willing to splurge on a really decent laptop.  I'm taking some graphic arts courses and I am into video game developing and modding.  I own the entire Adobe collection and have alot of games on Steam.  I wouldn't really use this for any extreme gaming (I have a Windows desktop PC).

I think other than the GPU the Macbook Pro I would get would be technically better.

Macbook Pro specs:

Costs $2999
  • 16GB RAM
  • Nvidia GeForce GT650M
  • 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor (overclock up to 3.6GHz)
  • 2880 x 1800 Retina display (15")
  • 512GB flash memory (I have 700GB used on my windows, but I wouldn't put NEARLY as much on a laptop.......)
  • TONS OF COOL PORTS AND STUFF (STEAM BIG PICTURE WATY?!)
  • 30+hrs standby battery time (not really worried about battery time)

Razer Blade specs:

Costs $2499
  • 8GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 2GB
  • Future platform with 3rd Generation Intel Core Processor (my concern is that I don't know what the ACTUAL specs are for this)
  • Unknown display (17.3")
  • 500GB HDD memory
  • SOME SUPER AWESOME TOUCHPAD/ STAT SHOWING SYSTEM I'D PROBABLY USE IN THE ONLY GAME I HAVE THAT IT WORKS FOR LEAGUE OF LEGENDS AND I DON'T EVEN PLAY IT THAT MUCH
  • Scarily unknown battery life

As you can tell from my hidden texts I'm leaning towards the Macbook Pro Retina

Get the MacBook Pro and bootcamp a Windows disk on it.

forget Apple -- and I'm not just saying that as a content PC user. The company itself is stuffty, as opposed to Razer who are awesome. Besides, if you're even considering these computers for gaming, the Razerblade's specs are way better.
forget apple and their overpriced parts. And their company ideals.

I'd say the Razer Blade. I'm considering purchasing one myself when I can save up enough money.

If your lifestyle's for gaming, MacBook Pro seems to have better specs.  Just
bootcamp a Windows disk on it.
If you're looking to be a designer, movie maker, etc, the MacBook Pro is still a better choice.

And DAT RAM

The razer blade is cheaper than a mac book?!

You can get a better graphics card for cheaper though, Origin EON17-S has a 580.

The Razer Blade is nice and all but personally I feel like I wouldn't really want to jump into it's super high tech keyboard/touchpad thing whatever the forget it is from the future.

I'd go with the Razerblade just on account that you're going to be modding and etc and Windows will let you do this more easily.

I don't even play most of the games that nifty touchpad thing does

Guys, it's not a problem with the OS. On a Mac device, you can just switch to Windows whenever, as long as you got a copy of the Windows OS disk.
