Author Topic: Nintendo Wii U - Release date and prices announced.  (Read 6066 times)

Nintendo finally gave out some information, for a few regions. The Wii U will be sold two in bundles, a "Basic Set" and a "Deluxe Set."

Release dates:
NA November 18, 2012
EU November 30, 2012
AU November 30, 2012
JP December 8, 2012

The "Basic Set" starts at $299.99.

(exclusively white)

The "Deluxe Set" starts at $349.99. (I was predicting this price tag!)

(exclusively black)

As for games, I believe NintendoLand and New Super Mario Bros. U were the only confirmed launch titles, however a few websites suggest these will also be day-one launch titles. Also, its games will typically have the $59.99 price tag.

Personally, I'm excited. I'll definitely shell out the extra $50 for the Deluxe version. The only reason I might pre-order is if Pikmin is a day-one launch title (or perhaps AC3). Otherwise, most of these launch title games don't interest me, unfortunately.

I hate how Black is a Deluxe only color, I want there to be both colors in Delux and Normal.

I personaly love the black. Plus it hides the dried up grey sweat you leave on the white.
I'm going to buy the Deluxe New Super Mario Bros. U.

Wait, why is North America getting it first? And Japan is getting it way last? That's backwards by normal standards... Unless... Japan plans to get a fixed version based off bug reports worldwide... Those sneaky bastards...

something tells me "U" is going to be the new "64"

something tells me "U" is going to be the new "64"
Don't forget about "Super" or "3D"

Lookin' forward to it.

Also, why can't I get the deluxe in white?
