Borderlands, is a FPS RPG developed by Gearbox, and published by 2K games, the game was released on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac! The game features RPG elements in a FPS shooter, like, quests, skill trees, leveling up, and town hubs. You have 4 characters, Lilith the Siren, Brick the brick, Mordecai the hunter and Roland the black guy. Each character has their own unique 'Action Skill' an action skill is a certain type of skill that a character use, take Roland's scorpio turret for example, all he has to do, is, press the 'Action Skill Key' and BOOM he throws turret which does absolute stuff because it's stuff compared to Axton's stuff. Oh wait, I forgot this is the Borderlands 1 part of the OP, Axton doesn't exist yet! But anyway, there are plenty of fun faces to meet/shoot, like Scooter, the redneck inbred car dealer who has a crush on his sister. Dr.Zed the psychotic doctor who lacks a medical license, and who can forget CL4P-TP, otherwise as CLAPTRAP! The game is available for $19.99 USD, or $29.99 USD for the game of the year edition, which contains all four pieces of DLC!
PLOT
In the distant future, in the year 5252, several colonization ships head to Pandora, a planet on the edge of the galaxy. The colonists are drawn there in search of a better life as well as vast mineral resources said to be on the planet, free for the taking, akin to a futuristic gold rush. Some time after settling, the colonists discover that there is little the planet offers aside from some decrepit alien ruins. When the companies mining the planet leave, they let loose the criminals they had employed as forced labor and left any other colonists there. Some of the settlers seek to get rich quick by discovering alien technology. Most others are just trying to survive. After seven earth years, the planet's slow orbit brings a transition from winter to spring, and many horrifying creatures emerge from hibernation.
A beacon of hope for the remaining colonists emerges in the form of a mysterious alien Vault carved in the side of a mountain. This Vault is said to contain vast stores of alien technology and secrets. The only problem is that the people who discovered the Vault were completely wiped out by some sort of protective force. The only evidence of their discovery is a scattered radio transmission, proclaiming the Vault's majesty, but not its location.

Borderlands 2, is an FPSRPG, developed by Gearbox software. The game is a followup to the 2009 smash hit Borderlands. The game featured RPG elements which was new at the time to the shooter genre, the game featured quests, a level system and skills. Like Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2 features four different characters with their own unique skills to choose from. You have Salvador the loud mouth dual wielding tank who is...not straying away from the short department. You have Maya the Siren who was worshiped as a goddess on her planet before she decided on going to Pandora to learn about her heritage. Not much is known about Zer0 the assassin. What we do know is he uses emoticons like 0 and :) on his faceplate when he is doing certain actions. Then you have Axton who is an ex-soldier who lived on Heironymus before he was discharged for being too un-predictable, so he went to Pandora where he feels he would be more appreciated.
Borderlands has it's own
Random weapon generator where the game can randomly generate guns, leaving the game filled to the brim with midget slaughtering weapons at your disposal. When Gearbox said Borderlands 2 would have over 87 bazillion weapons at your disposal, they weren't kidding.
PLOT
Set five years after the events of Borderlands, Handsome Jack, the game's main antagonist, has taken over the Hyperion Corporation, declared himself Dictator of Pandora and taken all of the credit for finding the Vault; going so far as to claim responsibility for killing the Destroyer. Jack has also blotted out much of the light on the planet by having a giant orbiting H-shaped base set in front of Pandora's stationary moon, creating a 'big brother' atmosphere throughout the planet. The new group of Vault Hunters in Borderlands 2 are tasked with killing Jack and returning peace to Pandora.

BORDERLANDSLEGENDSDETAILS
Behind the big guns of Brick, Lilith, Mordecai, and Roland, fans will be treated to a fresh take on the series’ signature shoot-and-loot formula. Playing from a top-down perspective, they’ll encounter various classes of familiar foes — Skags, Bandits, Crimson Lance, Spider Ants — and entrepreneur skill trees loosely based on the original Borderlands. Characters possess three action skills and six abilities, with each of the latter supporting five levels. In a neat twist, players control all four characters simultaneously and can temporarily coordinate their corpse-piling talents to unleash powerful attacks.
While additional details on the action-RPG-strategy hybrid are scarcer than solid Eridium bricks, we did smuggle a few more tidbits from our brief look at Legends: the gameplay’s driven by randomized, objective-based missions; enemy difficulty scales alongside players’ unlimited ability to level-up; guns and gear can be purchased from mustachioed merchant Marcus; and, like its console counterparts, Legends allows lethally wounded players to score a life-reviving “second wind” with a well-placed slug.
Oh, and did we mention boss battles? Yeah, players will want to take full advantage of every death-dealer in their arsenal — as well as Legends‘ strategic cover system — before facing the screen-filling Hellhound.
