The only stuff i know about borderlands 2 is what i played, Which was like 30ish minutes of that big guy who can duel wield. I won't be playing him. I'll go for whatever is the siren.

is the soldier like class going to have turrets like the first game?

That was always my favorite, except for when I would play with my friend and be the siren. I always just used that ghost running thing to zoom ahead and piss him off.

Yes, the commando class is what Gearbox called a "revision" of the soldier. His turrets will be better and you can even upgrade it to where the turret is pretty much a mini nuke, leaving a small explosion once it is deployed.
