Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
There's a bunch of abandoned mineshafts about an hour from where i live. They're not even marked though, so if you're not paying attention you can fall to your death. Some are even radioactive. I'd like to see if it's possible to explore them sometime though.
If you choose to do this, be extremely careful. Mines are prone to collapse and as devildogelite mentioned, their is a huge possibility of poison gasses. Make sure you'd have plenty of lighting, rope, a gas meter wouldn't be a bad idea either. Also make sure somebody knows where you are and can call for help if needed.
I like how the pics posted on the first page have guys in sneakers and shorts when we're told to wear long pants and protective shoes.
The OP is comprised of suggestions for anyone doing Urbex. Sometimes in certain situations I don't follow everything by the book, especially during summer. It isn't recommended, but I'd rather teach others the right way to do things.
my family owns a house next door that was abandoned for the longest time, i had fun exploring it. other than that there's not much in the way of abandoned buildings to explore around here.
i love this kinda stuff though, i wish i could do it more.
I wish there was a place that close to me. I normally have to drive a good distance to find places.
*I've updated the second post of the thread with the video of me exploring an abandoned house.*
