i don't even-
plan out what you want the game to be first

so it's like a game where you find stuff to get better stuff to find more stuff?

what happens when you find all of the stuff?

that sounds really lame and boring

"I would enjoy a game that involves mass free roaming, up to a point in which you can explore the entire world, along with scavenging old materials. This would supposedly be multiplayer because, with the materials, you can trade and sell the materials you get with other people and get important tools necessary to find larger materials. The goal of the game is to collect several artifacts you can on the world. This kind of idea would be great competitively, in a form like so:

- A server is made, generating a world, could be Earth, but is unlikely. Instead, can generate randomized world.
- People join and start in different areas, may or may not have a team type of aspect
- Players will then either cooperate or compete for rarer materials. The idea of the game is heavy strategy, based on your own ideal on how much an item costs, along with having to solve minor puzzles. PvP is highly unlikely to be implemented in a game like so, however, if it is, PvP can be enabled or disabled, and when enabled, will activate and deactivate over a random course of time.
- The team or player with the rarest items win. Items will randomly change in value after each world generation.

A story could fit around this, supposedly in pre/post future time, such as so:

"There was once an extremely famous collector who wishes there were more to show, other than the collection itself. One day, several other people who shared his ideals got together and decided to hold a contest. Funded by themselves, several posters were laid, and several ads flew around the air. 'Are you a quickhanded, athletic collector with quite a brain on their shoulders? Come one, come all, we have a challenge for you! With the technology we have made, we will go deep into space, and make or find an inhabited world! Then, we will drop you onto the world, toss and hide a lot of RARE ITEMS, add some puzzles, massive environments, and sometimes weapons, and we will have a grand game! The one who is able to outwit everyone else, or the group who is able to outwit everyone else, gets to keep their prizes all to themselves!' You, an adventurer and a collector, fly off into the sky, excited for treasure."

Out of game, you can check the treasures you've plundered, and see how well you have done amongst other collectors. You will only be able to collect treasures when a certain player limit is reached in a server. Gamemodes could include:

Free Collect (No time limit, freely play with other users)
Quick Collect (15-30 timelimit)

Team Collect (Teams, 15-60 timelimit)
Ratio Collect (One team must have more value than another, no timelimit)

Deadly Collect (Players start out with a weapon, more weapons are found, PvP cannot be disabled)
Deadly Team Collect
Last Collector (Treasure is scarce, one life, when one player/no one else is left, the player with the most value wins)

THINGS"

This game idea could additionally be incorporated into some sort of survival/scavenging theme.

The only problem with that idea is that rendering the entire earth in any sort of appreciable way would be a massive undertaking.

give it to valve so every pc can run it

You obviously wouldn't be rendering the entire earth. You'd render it in sections or possibly limit the view-able range through an exaggerated curvature.

This game seems boring as hell.

sounds stupid you dont shoot anything and russians arent involved
