Author Topic: Is anyone here against the legalization of marijuana?  (Read 6550 times)

And before some pothead gets butthurt, tobacco and other **RECREATIONAL** drugs should be illegal too.
Tobacco is always going to be legal because it was grown since colonial times.
That is so exaggerated I decided to post a reply.
AND DID 100000 PUSHUPS NO JOKE
That's so exaggerated I couldn't even read.

you know what's funny?

if weed was legalized then at least half of the people doing it now would stop doing it because it's no longer cool to do it
Smoking and drinking excessively are cool with bad boys and they're legal too. I doubt there would be a significant drop out of current smokers if it was legalized.

Thank you.

Legalizing pot? That'd clear up probably one trillion on it's own but now our 13-14 trillion deficit. Pot is the most safest rec. drugs in the world, the most it can do it affect you with tar, but that can be partially solved with a vaporizer.
I doubt it would get anywhere close to a trillion and the affect would still be miniscule if it did. The national debt goes up by almost 4 billion every day or about 1.4 trillion a year (could be a little off here). So if it did relieve the U.S. of a trillion dollars in debt, by a year it wouldn't have mattered.

Hemp was legal in colonial times. George Washington had hemp plants, as well as Thomas Jefferson.

Sure, give people a legal reason to inhale chemicals to wash their worries away for an hour, while pissing everyone else off in the process.

There would be 10x more if it was legalized.
if you can't beat 'em, join 'em :D

I support drugs they're good.

no drugs are stupid, and a waste of money.

Why can't a user just be a user? Why does everyone think they smoke pot to "wash their worries away"? It's a recreational drug and I see no problem with it.

We would gain money by legalizing it.

They just need to legalize Marijuana in hospitals. They should make security checks at the entries so that if someone tries to steal some out of the building, they couldn't.

The main reason I see here against marijuana is that its a waste of money, harms lives, etc

Seriously that's their problem, it illegalized is a worse problem to the country due to the time wasted trying to catch people smoking marijuana and such, legalizing marijuana won't have an effect n the country as a whole, so I don't see it as a problem

Money to be used for what?

I am against it

I think that there shouldn't be as harsh of penalties for possession but making it completely legal would mean a tax and price increase, which would be bad for people such as cancer patients that need it for medical reasons.  They are now paying ALOT more for "medicine"

Why does it matter what we use the money for? The nation could use it. Taxing marijuana alone could do quite a bit.

It's illegal because hemp threatened the paper industry decades ago, so they ran a fear campaign against it, and to this day it remains illegal. It's not a waste of money, nor does it harm you (unless you smoke it)
oh wait i thought you were against it.

better to have a price increase on it then have it unavailable to them at all.

2nd hand marijuana smoke
