Author Topic: Is anyone here against the legalization of marijuana?  (Read 6533 times)

Then there is the minor point that it is a loving Neurotoxin, smoking it literally makes you stupid.  Maybe it's not as bad on your body as smoking tobacco, but at least people can still function at regular capacity under the influence.

Way to show everyone you have no idea what you're talking about.

For future reference, something being classified as a neurotoxin does not mean it "makes you stupid". Calling something a neurotoxin a very broad statement, if you want to play that card please elaborate so you don't sound so ignorant.

IIRC coffee is a neurotoxin.

You can legally buy it with a card, and the cards are very, very easy to obtain. "Ouch, I broke my ankle. I NEED MY WEED"
So very true.

yet it wasn't as grossing/smoked/sold/ as tobacco
That's not the point. The point is that just because something was legal in colonial times doesn't mean it will always be legal.

I hate the smell and the potheads who use it, but why is it illegal again? Cars and over the counter vitamins kill more people.

We should fly bombers over Mexico and drop napalm onto suspected cartel centers.
forget yeah merica

for legalization, against idiot potheads who think it's a miracle drug with no negative impacts

forget yeah merica
After that we ban degrading pop music. WE ARE COMING FOR YOU RHINANA, BIEBER, LADY GAGA, BLACK EYED PEAS, MADONANA.

But it was illegal beyond the point of colonial times rather than tobacco, which was a major cash crop and still is.

The active ingredient THC or whatever, is classified as a neurotoxin because it has both short term and long term detrimental effects on your brain.

And yes, it literally makes you stupid.  IQ in long term marijuana smokers is shown to drop an average of 10 points or so.

teenage smoking will make you drop IQ points

adult and post-pubescent smoking will not

If cigarettes can be legal, we might as well make some money from marijuana as well.  I wouldn't use it tho

I feel like I've said this a million times.
Marijuana is not addictive. It's as addictive as a sandwich. It's as addictive as sour patch kids. The only addiction that you may form would be from lack of self control.

i feel the need to tell you that i've done it before in the US and it is quite addictive if you don't feel the need to stop.

I don't think you know what you're talking about as you only consider your own perspective.

stop being so PRO-DRUGS YE BOY SMOKE WEED BLAZE IT 420 and open your mind to other peoples opinions.

i have done it twice in my entire life, and i felt no addictive effects, to my understanding it is addictive to certain people. its kinda like laughing, it feels good, but you don't have a crave for it

I'm trying to be, but it's hard to find very unbiased sources on facts and statistics (stuff like r/trees circlejerking extreme and the DARE program are both on far sides of the bias)

I've never seen any evidence of it being addictive, but I haven't used marijuana (nor will i unless i try it when i'm 21)
I've heard lots of people say it's not addictive. I'm assuming it's not addictive, but maybe it is. I can't find definitive answers, but I haven't really searched hard for them either.

tbh that culture will probably asplode come legalization. it's rooted in "forget the system" and edginess.

Why can't a user just be a user? Why does everyone think they smoke pot to "wash their worries away"? It's a recreational drug and I see no problem with it.
I still to this point do not understand why people need to use drugs to have fun. And yes, I am including alcohol in this. Both, I understand, are not chemically addictive, however, when people are high/drunk, they don't feel the need to be responsible for anything. Literally everyone I've seen get high/drunk doesn't care about important stuff while they're doing so. They're also not learning anything while in such a state, which indirectly makes them dumber. I live with people who do this stuff. I know plenty of people who do this stuff. I can see the difference between people who do and don't. There is a correlation, and it's not low.

Though, it could be backwards. Perhaps the drugs aren't making the person stupid. It's the stupid making the person use drugs.
