So I should have faith in my imaginary friend bill as you do in your god, right?  It's just as appropriate as your standard, here.  Even though the lack of proof disproves his existence,(though there is proof coming from the bible suggesting its claims aren't real, so that's a bonus) it'd be silly not to, right?
