Author Topic: Arc hosts Terra Firma Craft *Server is Down*  (Read 11473 times)

It's some mod i came across for minecraft, which pretty much injects the game with a stuff ton of un-needed realism.
I find it kinda fun and I think it'd be neat to have people start up their own settlements and stuff.

I really recommend that people read the wiki too, because stuffs complex.

Just wanted to see if anyone wanted to play a video game together.
Holy crap when did you come back?
Hello.

I might actually play. I haven't been keeping up with Minecraft releases, what version do I need?

Also, welcome back, sir.

1.3.2 I think?

Holy crap when did you come back?

obviously right now.

this stuff is kinda all over the place in the downloads department. I wish mod creators would just send a pre-made .jar instead of telling us to place all their jackstuff files into one central location (which can easily be avoided by giving us just the damn .jar).

ex. Minecraft forge README

*** HOW TO INSTALL ***

Extract the download archive directly into your MCP-directiory.
It should create a folder "forge" within that directory, containing all
extracted files.

You should use freshly downloaded jars, add NOTHING to the jars, ModLoader
is no longer needed. Both client and server are required and should be 100% clean.

It comes with MCP 7.2a+, but if you do not have it, you need to install the
FernFlower decompiler, you can download it at http://goo.gl/PnJHp.
Extract fernflower.jar into your MCP's runtime/bin folder.

Now just start the install.cmd/.sh, MCForge will install itself into the proper
locations and copy all needed files, as well as modifying the needed baseclasses.

Forge also includes a snapshot of the MCP mapings, this may not be the current
version of the mapings. But you must use the provided mapings in order for the
patch files to work together.

The install scripts should take care of everything for you, so you should not need
to run ANY MCP script before installing forge.

I think there's something against full .jar files
maybe because of pirating

how the hell is it pirating?
mods are not pirating.
the developers even hand out jar files of latest snapshots (which essentially are modded versions of the current game)
Why can't mod makers do this?

I really don't know, I think there used to be something about jar file pirating before but I'm not sure
maybe you can ask the mod makers why they can't put it a jar file

I'm having trouble installing it.

Do I just extract the TFC File then copy it into the .jar?

Because when I did that I force-updated and it wouldn't launch.
