itt: if a middle-aged woman with a baby is attacked by a stray dog the baby always gets killed regardless of what the woman does

this is what you're implying. doesn't seem very realistic now does it

explains the
>human dies in horror movie
>pfft who gives a stuff
>dog dies in horror movie
>OMG TURN IT OFF TOO GRAPHIC!!!!

Is that human a baby? No it isn't. You missed his whole point. 10/10 on reading.

Wait, what?
I think you are the one that misunderstood everything...

There are ways to fight back against a dog without injuring it or killing it.
If you know what your doing you can detain it until someone comes and helps you out.
Please inform me of one of your ways, please.

It is true, there's a reason why dogs are used for hunting.

The reason people go batstuff in animal abuse topics is because dogs are cute, because they are babylike, which triggers a paternal instinct. Technically, it is the sanest reaction.

Is that person who got killed in a horror movie a baby? No it's an adult. Never ever seen a baby die in a horror movie.

what if the woman kills the dog

The person being a baby isn't even slightly related to the point being made, try re reading it with a blank mind or something because you have this completely backwards.
what if the woman kills the dog
~the solution~

Please inform me of one of your ways, please. It is true, there's a reason why dogs are used for hunting.
Well when a dog jumps on you quickly restrain it by wrapping your arm around its neck and then wrapping your legs around its body, if you have enough strength you can hang onto it until help arrives.
If the dog has a collar be sure to grab that if the dog is to get loose.

what if the woman kills the dog
mr. hillbilly redneck carrotlord xtreme says you can detain a dog with nothing but your bare hands until animal control arrives.
and that a middle-aged woman with a baby carriage can do it.

Dogs are babylike
Adults are not babylike

We make a bigger emotion deal out of dogs than adult humans because it triggers a parental instinct since dogs are babylike.

Jairo's point is that if a dog dies in a horror movie, we care more than if a human dies. Well if it's an adult human, we wouldn't care as much. But if it's a dog or baby we would actually care even if we know the movie is fake due to parental instincts.

What am I missing here?

Please try that in a real life scenario and tell us how it works out.
Reality isn't as ideal as you think.

Babies never die in movies. Seriously. It's all off screen. Children too. And in video games.
So dogs are the next thing.

I was sort of wrong here. Pulling the reins back on your paternal instinct (since the dog is not actually a baby) is probably better, but you should still acknowledge the richardiness of killing that's not self-defense or hunting.

block, you're over-brown townysing this into hell
you must be fun at parties
and be with all the laddies

Please try that in a real life scenario and tell us how it works out.

He didn't state what the human was. I though the implied it was an adult, if so then he did miss that guys post about us caring more about babylike animals than adult humans.

I don't think this is relevant to anything we are talking about.

To be honest I don't know what we are arguing over any more.
