Because it's instant kill and with ghost it's impossible to detect early on in the game.

Because it has a bit of range on it and aiming a bit of a distance off is still a guaranteed kill?

I don't think it's OP but that may be it. It's lame when I run into someone with a remmy and I'm dead because he managed to get a single hit in.

Not gonna lie, it's fun to play with if you master it.

It's worth it.

Not like it's hard to unlock all the attachments again anyways and no one uses the higher-tier unlocks as it seems.

I just do it for the xp though :P

if you use a gun literally more than once, ever, do it. you can keep gaining weapon and normal xp, camos are unaffected, and you get a little extra sumthin' sumthin' for your trouble.
