I've always lived at least 10 miles from a gas station (until I moved into the last town I was in, then it was about 2)
As of now its a good 8-9 miles away and I can ride my bike there and thats how I like it, if I feel like getting an ice cream on a hot day I can ride that and get it. Hopefully the store 6 miles away gets ice cream before summer comes back around ;-;

What should the president do to fix this exactly? Just give stores that can't stay above water free money?

I never had a problem with going that far. Its actually the closest I've lived to a store without having to go on a road full of drunk drivers.
