Avalonian foreign policy has changed so that Avalonia will now consider foreign alliances based on the history and general strength of a nation. Avalonia doesn't want to have to pull another nation's weight, or add extra weight to a nation. Avalonia will require time to consider any offer made.
Due to the recent flyover of Telar by a foreign aircraft that could be used, in future, for military intent, Avalonia works on creating an anti-air defense grid. It was only flowers... this time.
Avalonian military continues to train. National Guard program (essentially a militia that comes together for a week once a month to train) is expanded so that all male citizens between the ages of 20 and 35 are required to serve in either the standing military, the national guard, or to serve in an alternative public service program specifically for conscientious objectors.
