this is way above my level, but im pretty sure this is possible
what it is is you get this wand or some tool like that and you hit a brick. this then lets you ghost a group of bricks based on what bricks were connected or reliant on the selected brick. now i know this sounds a bit weird but ill try to scenarioize it for ya
you are making a city, and decide to make a water tower. the water tower took a long time to make and you didnt think of macroing it, yet another area would be good if it had a water tower as well. fortunatly you have your duplicator to. you merely go over to the basep[lace the water tower was built on, hit it, and then you can ghost the entire water tower and the baseplate

So what ever is on the plate is selected?

or what is dependent on the object
in other words, whatever would get destroyed if you were to firewand the same object

destructowand sorry...

I'm pretty sure this is why Badspot made macros.

Some things are too big to macro.

So you hit a base plate... and whatever else is connecting it becomes a 'ghost building?' This sounds pretty awesome! I've been looking for a way to reposition things!

Hmm or it would have a mode to where you could hit like say a window that you forgot to macro or something random like a roof section thats pretty awkward to macro at once and you could make it a ghost brick group and move it.

I'm going to try and make this, I've just thought of a really cool way of doing it, and it seems very possible.

green is waht is selected from the light green brick being hit, not that bricks touching side should not be selected as to avoid mixing up your build with random noob spam

so like a save brick+everything ontop of it, and then a reload @ position?

Get the save mover, duplicate a save thats only of the tower, move it so and so far, reload both, reload the city.

This is easier, though. Much, much easier.

yes but my way you just ghost a house or whatever and can re place it anywhere you want many times easily
