What the forget? Who would want their own rights to be taken away?
What about the child's rights? It can't talk or any of that stuff yet, so it's as worthless as a watermelon!
A mother who really, REALLY loves her child would not kill it, EVEN if that child's dad was a rapist, OR if she wasn't ready to be a mom. Yes, it is a CHILD. NOT a THING. The term for a human at that stage of growth may be "fetus" but that shouldn't be used to try to make that child sound less than human. It's still in the end a human life! It can't do everything we can do yet, but it will one day! We were all just like it at one time, nothing more than a bunch of cells or a dumb-looking blob of jelly.
If the mother can't support it, don't just kill it! That's even worse! Give it a fighting chance, for goodness sake! Just because you can't afford to take care of the child doesn't mean nobody else can! We have orphan shelters for a reason in this world.
BUT
If the child's birth is threatening the life of the mother, then sure, I believe a choice must be made to either save one life or lose both.
Overpopulation wouldn't be a problem if we finally got off our lazy bums and began really working together to colonize other planets! We have a whole galaxy at our disposal!
I believe abortion should be talked about in schools because young women need to know that there are options available to them if they get pregnant. I have no idea why people would be protesting at a school, though
Again, what option does the child have? Is it just because it isn't as smart as us yet that it doesn't deserve to have rights, even though it's biologically human just like all of us? It's a choice, sure. Between life or death.
