If the authors of the bible were ahead of their time enough to accept a revolutionary theory, their writing would be a lot better.

"Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor."

According to most people nowadays, it is common knowledge that a high mountain does not give you the ability to see everywhere on the earth.

And here's another funny part in Matthew:

The bible has hundreds of contradictions and errors. Spherical earth was only known to an erudite few until much later, so I doubt Matthew 4:8 is not literal.

Yes the LDS church teaches that God is infinite,and yes it means that god probaly once had his own God, but what proof do you have that the Universe isn't infinite? Our understanding is so limited, that we can't even comprehend what God comprehends. Can an entity in a 2D plane Comprehend the 3D demension? I say that it Cannot.

You obviously are interpreting the Scriptures the wrong way. In order to understand the verses, its helpfull to look at them in context.
What they state implies contradiction to the "perfection" displayed in the Bible.  Any form of contradiction that interferes negatively with the credibility implies that it is NOT credible.
Job 38:4 Refers to when Christ created the earth. It does not mean that the earth is static. A ships foundation is built and laid by workers and yet it moves.
Christ didn't create Earth, according to your religion.  The foundation of something remains static; yes, it can be moved, but something having a foundation isn't the implication of it being immobile or mobile.

A building has a corner stone upon which the foundation rests upon. It is a metaphor for the earth.

You take the bible litteraly.
It makes blatant displays of impossibilities, this is one of many.  Viewing something verbatim is how it was intended.  Your perception of an absolute depiction describing an earth which is static, flat, contains a barrier above it known as the fermanent, with a giant ball of fire revolving around it, is irrelevant, because that is what it describes; that is what the text blatantly states, and not otherwise.
It does not mean that earth litteraly can not be moved. It is like me saying to you, go take a hike when I do not litteraly mean for you to take hike.
No, it isn't.  You're using a common phrase asking me to leave you alone.  Describing the earth as static, and a sun which revolves around it, is not a simple metaphor.
Religion can not prove science and science can not prove Religion. They are two forces that do not mix. I liken it to math- which we both obviously like. Math can not tell me why I enjoying things over others. It can not say why  I feel pain, come up with abstract thoughts, or my creativity. Math can not define happyness, and yet we we feel it. It can not define suffering, which we all have experienced.
Mathematics disprove modern day catholicism.  That is not science, it is simply fact.  Modern day biology defines emotion with ease.  You not being up to date with current knowledge isn't going to help your argument.

Lalam your theories are nice but are completely wrong. I have practiced, studied, learned, and experienced my religion, for all of my life, and I promise you that not once have I been taught or have seen scriptures in which it refrences the sun revolving around the earth. I will leave you with my testimony of my church. I know that it is true, with a personal knowledge. I know that if you ever desired to understand my religion, and you had an honest and real intent to know of God, you could find out through prayer. I challenge and urge to you seek an answere for your self through study of the Bible and if your intrested in my church, the Book of Mormon- with out using mathematics. Your a logical man and again, obviously intelligent, but just because a man has knowledge and understanding far above others, it does not make that man wise. There is so much that we don't know and understand about the world around us.

Remember that those of us with a closed mind can not learn. If we are so wrapped up in our beliefs, with out thinking of the possibility that they are wrong, then we will be doomed to a life of ignorance and failure. I challenge you again to find out for your self, through personal revelation.

There is so much happiness that can be found in religion. My church teaches service, and I have witnessed for my self of the happiness that it gives to others and my self. Many say that religious people only give service because they are afraid of God. I say that those who give service do it because of the love of God.

The flaw was based around a circumstance often disregarded because it's contestable.  However, the fact that the original texts promoted by these major religions are contradictive is a fact, one which cannot be refuted.
