Because gay people aren't persecuted now as much they would have been in the past?
there were plenty of civilizations that accepted being gay. The Spartans encouraged being gay because it made you fight harder for your fellow soldiers. Ancient greece also accepted gays.

I think he's talking about America and that whole forced religion thing.
Or anywhere else religion was forced and non followers were persecuted.

Sorry if you don't believe me, but this is why I believe it is a choice.

Lord have mercy.

"Choice" is a terrible word to describe it because it makes you think that someone just woke up and decided "I will be gay now".
"hey you know, maybe I should try out that whole 'homolove' thing..."

Protip: He was never straight. He was probably a gay-leaning biloveual that just didn't realize it.

probably within at least the last half-century.
well i mean there wasn't much homoloveual discrimination in the 1960's lol. sure there were no hatecrime laws and kids probably called each other "cigarettes" more in school, but there wasn't much persecution for it.

unless you're extremely flamboyant, then you can expect to be discriminated for being an annoying prick lol

Around 1500-1900
depends on where you are, im sure that there was a few civilizations that accepted it.
