I wanted to go for a "calm DnB" feel but my samples had other plans (and I'm still very happy with how it turned out anyways, aside from the bass track which needs to be a bit louder but w/e).

Some samples I've edited from .sid files
Has some nice drum samples and some juicy basses. Not much else because all the good .sid leads are stuck in with other parts of the song. >:(

Lots of 8-bit synth leads from around the demoscene.

String samples
An unholy amount of string, choir and other vocal sounds. Good if you're not trying to make chiptune songs.

Turrican 1 - 3 Samples (NOT MINE)
Every single sample (except for turrican 1's bonus and level 4 samples) from Turricans 1, 2 and 3. Not a chiptune sound in sight (which is probably extreme taboo for this clan but I love these sounds so much aaaaa). Extracted by TheFinalFighter. Even includes a bunch of Turrican 2 sounds.

There's also an extremely big pack of thousands of .sid sample files floating around on the internet. I can't find a solid link for the whole pack though, so if you want 800 megabytes worth of bleep-blop-blip samples google "odo's commodore 64 sample pack" or something.

Thicker than Water (Cyclone Soundtrack, first water-level song)

It's an .mp3 preview because it's a little too big to be a loop without cutting quality significantly (which I can get away with in gamemodes because it's not a server-hosted file and you download it with the package).

some of the LEVEL# .wavs are really strange, i would have assumed that only parts of the audio sample were used so you could have all the levels sound effects in one file; but some of the clips cut off at points where it doesn't sound entirely right, and it doesn't really flow as a loop either. strange.

EDIT: also, i searched up exactly what alter said in his post on google, "odo's commodore 64 sample pack", and the first result is some blog post with a link to all the various files on a website called skydrive.

there you can click the "Details View" button in the top right corner, select all the boxes next to all of the files, and click the "Download" button at the top. it'll put all of them into one file called "skydrive-[year]-[month]-[day]", and save it as a zip file. pretty neat.
