Is it a requirement to use MilkyTracker? I am much more used to using Famitracker, but I wouldn't mind switching over to MT if it's better.

No. ThinkInvisible and I use ModPlug Tracker and I've done a few songs (unpublished) in FamiTracker, it'd be alright so long as it's a tracker (and even then I think as long as it's chiptune Zay wouldn't mind how it's made).

hey guess what
this
more specifically, this
who needs dropbox/soundcloud/etc.? C:

sorry about the mp3 format, i'll probably get around to adding ogg downloads someday

Don't Cry For Me Argentina (Chiptune) [.mod]
omg you guys do stuff like this

do more
like "time to say goodbye" and "ave maria"

"ave maria"

http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21622296/music/st/Ave_Maria_Chiptune.ogg

Time to Say Goodbye's midi is way too complicated (and it hurts because it's such an amazing song ;-;)

Also I changed DCFMA's instruments to the ones I used in Destiny, I'm not sure if it sounds better or worse.

And Again
Anticipation
Cutscene 3
Kart!

A couple of these are old songs that I never gave a name for some reason. I'm trying out a new instrument in Kart! and And Again.

I would like apply!

-snip-
Accepted, just keep in mind that our music genre is chiptune, and that you'll have to use a music tracker like famitracker or milkytracker to do this. You can also use the program Think uses but I forgot what it's called. Anyway, welcome, and we hope you do some great music with us!

Thank you! Yes, I have downloaded everything I need!

Thank you again!

MUAHAHA

somehow I made a really neat effect using portamento
usually porta hates me

Sorry, I'm still playing around and learning how to use Milkytracker before I start making some cool 8-bit songs,
By the way does anyone like my song that's in my application?

That's really cool!

EDIT: Just noticed every time I open SFXR it closes? Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Turrican 1 - Bonus (Chiptune Remix)
(.it)

Original Song

30 minutes, 10 samples, 1 bad remix

From now on I'm going to use a specific sample set for [ST] because I swear I'm good but I gotta have the right samples (most of which are not chiptune so I'm boned)

^^^Chiptune samples

^^^8-bit resolution realistic samples (low-quality stuff that gets higher quality when put in a tracker for some reason)

Quick rule of thumb for the st-xx pack: Lower all your samples by two octaves except for drums, which should be lowered by only one. Some drums sound better pitched down two, though.

The TSPack is a collection of Turrican instruments from Turrican 1 - 3 for the Amiga. They're... interesting. I recommend you do not use the drums, because they suck. A lot of the lead synths are rather chiptuneish though, so you can use those (just be careful when you loop them).

.:FancyPants:. also posted some samples but they're all crap anyways I can't find them
