Author Topic: Windows 8  (Read 7261 times)

I had a laptop with a windows 8 preview on it.
If i moved my mouse to the right side of the screen it would automatically show my desktop.
Also i couldn't figure out how to manually shut down/log off/restart the computer
I couldn't figure out how to get to My computer, or My documents using the new start menu.
Some of the things you could do on it is neat, i guess, but i don't like it at all.

It was better than vista anyway :|

sorry but if you like windows 7 you're gonna find its a lot like windows vista
Plus windows vista is fixed now, I didn't have any errors with it after the second service pack was released

When i turned on the laptop with vista it said it had 994 errors and had to restart.
It told me a certain folder was locked, then it opened it anyway.

Vista LOOKS like windows 7, but isn't windows 7 more user friendly?

Like most developers, the system works in phases.
Big Update A) Adds new stuff and/or redesigns the system/environment.
Big Update B) Fixes a majority of the problems with the previous version.

Windows 7 is basically a user friendly glitch fixed Vista.

Fun Fact: Vista is so broke, you can actually delete your system 32 foulder and have it operate OK. (Tested on a virtual machine by my friend.)

As for windows 8? Well, Let's just say if I ever decide to move on from Windows 7, I'll probably be switching to linux.

Windows 8 is horrible. Tried the preview, it took 30 minutes to start up. Que me uninstalling windows 8 and reinstalling Windows 7. Now the PC is cured from that wretched disease.

Windows XP - Good
Windows Vista - Bad

Hopefully they continue and the next windows will be amazing.
