I think that's a matter of opinion to be honest. Nobody knows anything about the speed or stability of this service yet and the price is the same yet people are still more enthusiastic about it than the alternatives. Other factors may include more functionality, a more intuitive interface etc.

You mean people have forgotten that Kalphiter is pretty fast, stable and cost-effective just because Lub posted a thread with pictures of awesome features with no hints of speed, stability or price all along? I should have known.

He has hinted of speed with the New York server in this thread, but yes I do agree with you that Kalph has decent speed and low prices. I like the way Rub has set up his service though, and it looks much more user friendly than what I have seen.

I know you're keen to support your friend in this thread but you're definitely not understanding what people are saying. Blocki was saying that those 3 factors are all that would influence someone's choice in a service and said nothing about what makes a legitimate comparison between two services.

Lub's service is more likely to attract new customers, unless its priced higher. Though it appears superior on face value, I get the imperssion people would turn cheapskate and choose the cheaper option just as long as it works.

I don't think this will kill Kalphiter's hosting service initially. For his current customers, its easier to just stick with what works than switch host.
