what i find funny is,
although the new kindle and the ipad are the same,
The kindle fire HD is nearly the same size as the ipad, but 16 gbs.
you can buy 32 for 30 dollars more, unlike the ipad, its 100 dollars more.

The device can't run later versions of iOS (I remember the 3rd gen iPhone got a version of iOS that was ridiculously slow on the hardware and everyone complained, so that's why you don't want it updated) which contains APIs that those apps use.  This is how software development works.
