Try backing up the map, deleting all the stuff (as this also updates Minecraft to 1.4.7), copying the new files over, and then putting the map stuff back in.

We just switched from magic worlds because no one wanted it.
Direwolf20 was a possibility but I doubt switching is worth losing the map.
