I walk down the stairs to the gym, removing my Kevlar vest, leaving only the uniform underneath. A few men chuckle at my light figure, obviously new recruits, and I shoot a glare at them. A man walks up to me, he looked like he was a tad taller than six feet. "So what's a pretty lady like you doing down here in the gym?" he says, chuckling. A few of the lads who actually knew me rolled their eyes, walking away. One of them, John, patted me on the back, whispering, "Kick his ass."
I looked up at the rookie, expression blank. "Looking to spar. Want to help?"
He chuckles some more, walk over to the mat. "How about we put some stakes on this."
I shrug. "Go ahead."
"I win, you owe me a new car. How about a Lambo."
"And if I win?"
"I give you $100."
"That sounds about fair."
"Well you seem confident."
I step onto the mat, opposite him. "That's because I've beaten down far more skilled officers than you, rookie." I tilt my head. "Let's go."
