Fixed.
Pretty sure PNGs, BMPs and RAWs are equal in quality as they're all lossless formats.
Many cameras use slightly lossy compression on RAWs and BMPs are often stored in an 8-bit format. PNGs are more than likely fully lossless.

just to put in something i made recently:-image-i was using a picture of this island i made as a background for another computer, but decided today to remake it. i think it turned out pretty well, but i wish i could take a 1.9k res image in a 1.3k res blockland.
