Legalization of Marijuana would allow anyone to go and purchase it in a store.

Why wouldn't that give kids the thought of wanting to smoke Marijuana, that would make it 90% easier for kids to get high with drugs. Though some kids around 12 - 17 are already smoking.

Then we set an age limit. It would be harder for kids to get drugs because it wouldn't be sold on the streets anymore.

You only think the easiest ways of getting it.

Have you ever thought of a parent or friend that is 21 and smokes Marijuana and leaves a pack of Marijuana in a car? or on a table? Kid just has to take one cigar, or even two, or maybe the whole pack. It's not hard for kids to get a hold of Drugs, even if it's NOT off the street. How do you think kids get cigars already? Usually from parents, or friends that CAN buy cigars.

Actually, they could easily get someone over 18 to go in a store and buy it for them. Granted, this happens with cigarettes and alcohol too.

I won't pretend to know what the laws are in either place, nor do I know where to find the information for both of them on official government sites, but I have had a little look for something.

I was less successfull on finding equivalent information for Washington, but since you're a resident there and know of their drug policy, I shall trust you will be able to compare for yourself.

This is true, but take into consideration how easy it is for underage people to get ahold of cigarettes and alcohol.
Adults are capable of buying these and very often store them in unsecure locations in their houses.
How many people have an alcohol cabinet? Quite a few. It wouldn't be difficult for someone to steal a bottle of alcohol.

Assuming Cannabis was legalised and was as easy to get ahold of as alcohol or tobacco (which is unlikely), then it's very easy for underage people to get ahold of it.
And avoiding the idea of underage people stealing it from parents and the likes, consider how many irresponsible parents do give alcohol and tobacco to underage children anyway.

notice how cigarettes and alcohol both have age limits, and both generally do damage. if you're not an idiot, you'll realize that basically everything you put into your body can harm you in some sort of way, regardless of what it does. now both cigarettes and alcohol are legal, yes, but that doesn't mean they can't hurt you. i'm sure all you stoners know that, but do you realize why it would be a very bad idea to legalize it?
think for a second. why is it hard to get alcohol? cigarettes too? they are both not the best of things for you, but they are legal...
...and controlled. a lot. they put taxes and prices onto things such as alcoholic substances, as well as cigarettes. a pack of camels? $15-$20; a pack of bud water beer? anything in between $6-$10. also, both of them have pretty insane limits to who, what, where, when, and how you use them. if (and when) they do legalize everywhere, they are going to do the same thing to weed like they did to alcohol: limit it.
