Author Topic: 15 States of the United States file petition for secesion  (Read 3793 times)

I'm also aware they're citizen petitions, not state petitions.
which means they are literally meaningless. just some butthurt republicans that can't take a hit.

You gotta think about this here. What exactly are they wanting to secede for? Do the benefits outweigh the risks and challenges? I don't think its ever gonna be worth it for a while. Those states, if they seceded, what would they do? They'd have to establish their own economies, military, and all sorts of other things. They aren't prepared for thaf.

However this does always remind me of how the US isn't going to last another fifty years. I bet that by 2060+ the country will have split in two, hopefully peacefully.

I'm suprised Oklahoma isn't involved in this...

There are no benefits of the seceding.

I support this. In fact, let's do it even if they don't secede.

forget man

y'all votin' for this get y'all all forgeted up y'all

/stereotypes

LOL what is this supposed to be?  some sort of citizens rights thing?  the federal gov't learned their lesson after the south seceded and lost following a bloody war.  no state would ever consider seceding ever.  not sure why citizens think this is a thing.

there's space for it on the SF penninsula!

They're not going to secede.

I don't know why Texas wants to be its own country. When they were their own country they had an abysmal standard of living and tried to join the union several times but were denied. Im also pretty sure the US government would stomp out any state trying to secede no problem.

due only to threat of war by mexico. not much of a problem anymore. it was a ..... oh god, mexican standoff between us and mexico, with texas not being forced to rejoin mexico so long as they didn't join the US. when they did, boom alamo.

Texas as its own country... That's a funny thought.
