Wait this actually happened
What

Enough signatures on a petition=/=Succession

I pledge allegiance...to the flag...of the Not-So-United-States of America.

wtf.

you can't just DO THAT can you?

Doesn't congress have to accept the petition?

I mean you only need like 25k signatures on that website, there's millions of people living in Texas and 25,000 shouldn't be able to decide their fate.

What the forget? Is this a case of ?

pretty sure you can't just .. leave .. because you want to ..

if the petitions hit 25k, that doesn't mean it's granted
it means some guy on the website looks at it and says no

Enough signatures on a petition=/=Succession
Read the petitions and see where it is.

"Peacefully grant the State of X to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government."
And its on the Whitehouse.gov site so I'd imagine its pretty serious.

Alyx, please get your politics correct. It is not the decision of the people to secede, the petition only forces the president to consider, not to agree. We are a republic, not a democracy. Silly Goose.

Wow people are turning this petition thing into a joke

And its on the Whitehouse.gov site so I'd imagine its pretty serious.

not really
anyone can create any type of petition on that website
