Honestly, dwelling on civilization's faults really sucks. I have spent plenty of time doing it, and it hasn't made anything better, if anything it's made me more apathetic of the nice things. I believe what I believe in, and I do what I do. The mistakes other people make is not up to me.

There is no solid truth in life. Only what we believe to be true. Theories, hypothesis, even LAWS are changed. On the one hand; we sure as hell didn't come from sticks and dirt coupled with magic
On the otherhand, how did the universe start? All of a sudden MATTER appeared? How is that possible? Is TIME tangible then?

For all we know, we could in fact be part of a much larger existance / race, a super race of sorts, that put us here as a colony, and they simply are waiting for us to reach the same stage as them, if not then surpass them, announce themselves and share collective information.

Life is, has been, and will be one great big mystery.

I use the terms loosely, I would give examples however I know of no such case where a law was proven wrong.

Law = Short statement or formula. Example: Boyle's Law, the Law of Gravitation.
Theory = Collective group of laws, research, experiments, etc. Example: Theory of evolution, cellular theory.
Hypothesis = Prediction of what will occur in an experiment or research campaign.

Yeah a lot of people use them loosely which isn't a big problem really. Doesn't bug me at all when people use the word "theory" in conversation to describe a hunch, but in science the three words have very different and precise meanings.

I personally believe that humans were put on the Earth as a cancer. We were sent here to destroy it, and once we're done we'll go to another planet and do the same. If you look at the earth from space, you'll see these disgusting clouds of smog and waste in the air above metropolis. It's an infection. If a bomb were to hit downtown Chicago right now, it'd be rebuilt in a year and it'd look like nothing ever happened. If someone dies, 3 replace them.

That sure is a depressing way of looking at it. I'd give my two-cents but you seem to have very differing ideals and opinions than I do and I'd prefer to not start anything.

I only insult people who are literally batstuff handicapped, such as yourself. However I do appreciate the compliment. As I've stated a few times, I have no real intention of getting this published. It's more of a bucket list thing. If I finish it and I personally believe it's good enough to get published then by all means I'll try for it. But it's not exactly something I'm striving for, more rather just a passion.

If you honestly believe that humans are the center of the universe and we're the only form of intelligent life, then sure you can look at it from this perspective. But everything has a purpose in life. If it didn't, there wouldn't be a point in living at all.

Partly metaphorical, partly my actual standpoint on it. Parts are exaggerated, yes. But for the most part, I do honestly believe that humans were put on the earth (or if you believe that humans just sprouted from dirt and black magic) to destroy it.

I personally think that size has nothing to do with it. Neither does the fact that we have thumbs. But that's just my standpoint on it. I feel everything on the earth is equal to each other, as everything serves it's own role. Except for spiders. forget spiders.
