Events bring in fresh air, something to talk about and ponder, to share ideas and concerns throughout the group and, ultimately, are what is exciting and defining.
this is what we originally thought when kniaz / the rest of us decided that "okay we're going to drive things around based on events." and it really did not work out. the problem with running events is it encourages events themselves instead of passive detail enriched roleplaying. eventually it all boils down to everyone sitting around waiting for the next big piece to come together, kind of like a soap opera.

everyone wants to be apart of the action and it results in a whole lot of poor roleplay.

Hey Kaph! I was beginning to wonder when you might show up, started to miss you =(
i'm always around, babe.

I see your point, however, since the event based RP was planned out from the start, the people are more aware that an event can literally any time, therefore rendering your point that people just wait fot te next thing somewhat moot. What you are trying to say is true - for a server which initial concept does not incorporate such a system. So far I've seen no people "sitting around waiting for the next Thing". Anything can happen at any time.

i'm fairly confused. so because you've had events since the beginning and people are aware of them, they won't attract attention and suck the life out of the RP?

cnai be hoster?

Hahahah oh loving jesus no please no this isn't funny, I don't want my nightmares to come into fruition.

Okay.

That was a joke.

Grunter, your turning back to the person you were in Community, you're following the person who is being, well, not a good word, mean to me.

-snip-

Stop acting as if you've been on the server. The role-play is extremely lively and you're just making false assumptions now.

I'm sorry, come back to me when you've learned what a joke is. If at all this was a terrible "joke" and you should feel bad for it. Seriously, stop wriggling out of every mistake you make. Face me with some dignity for once.

With portal's permission,

I could open server.

Do you have all the add-ons?

Dude.

Cnai be doge is a joke.

Cnai be host is a joke.

If you don't find it funny, even if you don't laugh, you have no sense of humor.

The thing is though, cnai b doge IS funny. I don't think anyone here finds "can i b host" funny at all.
