Author Topic: do u even lift???  (Read 8270 times)

i doubt you've experienced being big if you're saying it's better to be small
I'm talking about in martial arts

in martial arts you train to increase muscle flex/contract speed, weight training doesn't help with this, sparring and drilling techniques does

bigger muscles would slightly increase power because of the added mass but the force mainly comes from speed and momentum

I do 100 sit-ups, 50 push ups, and 20 pull ups, morning and night.

I'm not the most muscular person, but I have some pretty lovey biceps.  I want to get a moreprominent six pack though.  If I flex you can see it, but I want it to be more obvious.

If you want a 6 pack you're going to have to do cardio.  Try running a mile a day or every other day at least.

If you really do want a 6 pack, you better do it.

I take weights as a class at school.

I'll admit, I greatly prefer the incredibly fit look to, say, a body builder or most professional football players. Lean and toned, lithe and agile. I like athletic figures, not buff blocks of muscle.

I mostly do workouts because I feel a lot happier in the following days than if I hadn't. I'm not really concerned with having huge muscles or anything, and I can lift pretty much anything that I expect I'd ever need to.

My entire life is all about pumping iron. The first thing I do when I wake up is drink a glass of muscle milk and bench. My friends consider me a seriously hardcore mother forgeter -- I need no spotter. So lift = life. I'm pretty loving awesome, I lift way more than Boltster and am crazy insane. when i grow up i want to be a weightlifter

Watch out guys, we have a hard core mother forgeter here.

I'm not lol. I'm just messing around. If he really did lift all the time it'd be obvious because he wouldn't be jacking around a forums for a game.

what kind of work out do you do every night? just running? whats your definition of 'parkour'?

Haha, running? I have enough endurance as it is.

I do dumbbell chest presses, dumbbell bicep curls, pec flyes, lateral dumbbell shoulder raises, tricep dips, push-ups and crunches.

Then for my lower body I do deep knee bends, deep knee bend jumps, toe raises, toes raises with weights and "jumping rope." I don't really have a rope to jump with, so I just jump as high as I can for a few minutes.
