yeah, like having access to a gun dosnt incite a person to commit crimes. today, these 2 gunman could have just walked in with knives and easily killed just as many people.
we have high crimes for a million reasons that we cant spend time getting into. weapons in any form may or may not be used, it dosnt really have anything to do with weapons being bad lol.
Knives are a little harder to use than guns. Its more difficult to get into a close proximity with as many people as these two did and manage to stab them to death. Guns allow infinite tactical advantages over knives and they damper the emotional effect of killing someone. I would much rather shoot a person in the chest a few times than get up close and personal with them and slit their throat. Although with these two I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered to them.
We have high crime rates for a myriad of reasons. Poverty, the materialism that is inherent in our society, and people who are abused or not raised in optimal conditions tend to be more prone to breaking the law.
If you can't solve the issues that cause violence, then taking away guns will not solve the problem.
Lol, yes it does.
I can't offer an educated response to this
It's common sense. From a criminal standpoint I have the advantage because I have no qualms illegally obtaining a weapon and using it against people with the disadvantage of having no form of self defense. Eliminating firearms from the civilian population is a load of horse hockey. If you think its a good idea, you probably think that human nature isn't inherently "survival of the fittest" and more prone to being united in a one world utopia where everyone is a nice guy.
People aren't just born wanting to gun people down in the street. There are reasons people are violent and they can be corrected.
Poland has 38 million people. The US has 311 million. At least try to get on the same scale when providing facts.
Sorry, I meant to include that but it slipped my mind.
