Author Topic: Elementary school shooting. ~28 dead, 20 children, 6-7 teachers, 1 shooter  (Read 19791 times)

you did not see the link i put up.

it took police much more than pistols to kill those two people. one shooter killed himself.
There was only one shooter. He shot himself. No shots were fired from the police.

yes it is, because that's what happens in shooting like these. apparently the police couldn't, how do you expect school teachers to?

You're not reading what I'm saying, are you? I'm not saying they could easily best a gunman just because they have guns, I'm saying at least they should have a loving fighting chance.

Body armor doesn't magically make you immune to standard handguns.

lol and how often does this happen? i mean anyone can go out of thier way to collect illegal weapons and armor. that dosnt mean all of the US should just never touch a gun as its pointless i guess right?

you give up in fear so easily. you treat every situation in life as hopeless? you wont even try to survive?

go cash your government check, dependent lol

Oh, excuse me princess. Excuse me for thinking that you are talking about the Connecticut shooting in the Connecticut shooting topic. My apologies.

Why don't we just give one officer in each school a gun?

what am i misinformed about?
Anything over a 9x18mm around will penerate body armor, and even if the shooter was shot by a 9mm, he would have easily broken ribs and been on the ground.

Why don't we just give one officer in each school a gun?
Not every school has an officer. In fact, most don't.

Why don't we just give one officer in each school a gun?
Because it doesn't make sense to. Paying a gun wielding officer to patrol a school isn't going to deter public shootings because instead of schools, they'll attack places with less security.

yes. this is easily taken care of. if someone is shooting unnecessarily and they are dangerous. its anyone and everyones job, especially those who are in danger, to defend against them.

people are stupid and lazy and would rather scream and run around and wait to die. police will show up eventually lol
if more people carried guns, there would be a hell of a lot more crime resistance for all crimes in the country.

the guy started off killing the principal in his(her?) own office after arguing a bit.
not a single child had to die that day. many staff members were there.
well the police were ready to ambush the shooters at the entrance of the bank, and they had marksmanship training. how do you expect the staff members to do almost the same in a building full of children?

even better yet, because in the school the gunman had the jump on them.

i never said body armor makes you magically immune to standard handguns, it did help those two guys survive for 44 minutes against police though.

also, children snatch things from teachers all the time. what if a teacher leaves a gun on his/her desk? what if the parents find out the teachers have guns?

what do you think is going to happen when parents find out a teacher brings a gun to school? nobody is going to bring their children to a school where kindergarden teachers carry guns. people want a sense of security, even false security, and if that mean disbelief in something like this can happen, so be it.

i've already given examples where 9x18 mm bullets failed to penetrate body armor. shut up.

My school has an armed police officer

ughhhhh you dummy nobody is going to do that

guns have safetys for a reason

they were late. the guy was well finished with his spree and shot himself before the first cop even showed up.

thats how useful law enforcement is. its not that they are to stuffty at their job, its that people shouldnt rely on them because they technically CANT help people.
citizens have to help themselves. its how it use to be, then americans became dependents.

still wrong

i'm insulting what you said. suck up your pride princess
Oh I'm sorry, and while we're at it, I should change my post to say "Your post" as I didn't personally hear you insult what I said.

I'm still wondering how what I said was so dumb.

you're missing my point dipstuff. if the teachers were ready outside the door to ambush the shooter (which they werent!) how would it have turned out?
