Author Topic: Why does TF2 never get old?  (Read 1881 times)

I never seem to get bored of it, and I can't really figure out why. All my other games lose their entertainment value after a while, but not TF2. What is it that makes it last so long?

Less rage. Less leaderboard. More silliness.

I play it a lot because of constant updates with cool weapons, leveling up strange weapons, great community, Mann Vs Machine, and most of all, the class system. That alone makes this better than most FPS games.

Because it's not as serious as most fps shooters, it's just plain fun and silliness.

Nobody rages (alot) in that game, and the goal isn't to be the best, its just to have fun.

this

also the fact no weapons and/or classes are better than other ones

Except for axetinguisher pyro or normal pyro for that matter

There is no p2w advantage or anything like that.  It's up to pure skill

Anyone thinking TF2 is based on skill really doesn't know the game.

No it isn't, at all.

It got old for me. Don't know how, I just don't like it anymore.

I can never play it because it gets stuck while loading the map. I've literally left it on for hours.

I don't understand why it wouldnt be?

Can't tell if you mean no it isn't a pay to win game or if you mean no it isn't up to skill. If you mean no it's not up to skill then what is it up to?

I think TF2 is great and always lasts forever for these reasons:
Always being updated
You can always get better
High skill ceiling
Great community
Generally a fun and balanced game

I don't see how you can think that it isn't.

I mean about the skill thing. Sure, more serious matches are up to skill, but that's not what the entire game is up to. Skill doesn't matter at all if you don't have strategy and timing.

Got old for me a while ago.
