Author Topic: Buildable Elevators/Trains Mod  (Read 14575 times)

Xalos, i nominate you for President of the Blockland Coding Commity 2012/2013

Elevators can now be saved and loaded without losing information, save events. However, seeing as neither named bricks nor events actually yet work, that's not too much of a loss.

The server IS crap. Also, it's not my fault if you can neither find "ElevatorCreate" nor "Elev_Create". Go be an unappreciative starfish who doesn't know what he's talking about elsewhere; as I said before, you make KALPHITER look good. That's saying something.

Oh stop being such a baby. Take the energy you put into your schoolyard insults and put it into the mod ya schmuck.

Icy, you're being way too hard on mods that aren't finished yet.

Well, he has now released it, apparently in half working state if the above post is anything to go by.

Wow. forget it, you're not even worth the air you breathe. Keep being a loving hypocrite that thinks he's such hot stuff and has the slightest right to insult my mods if you want, your opinions mean nothing to me.

Er

Keep being a loving hypocrite that thinks he's such hot stuff

Lol that makes no sense.

You know what, its no wonder you mentioned Kalphiter. You are very similar to him; unable to take criticism, unnecessarily defensive, aggressive, and prone to rushing out unstable products.

Far out.

your opinions mean nothing to me.

Kay well, not really an opinion. Fact: you released a half working mod. Fact: people have reported lag. Fact: Furlings server just crashed for no known reason while "coincidentally" using your mod.

Yeah real good mod. Thanks for the effort. You just wanted to lay claim to moving bricks before Jeep could get his vehicle mod revision out.

I don't remember criticizing your work before, but its no surprise I did if you really think your behavior is acceptable at all right now. Disgusting.

Can't wait for it to be finished, you could make so many cool builds with this.

Just wondering do you have to name the floors something? nvm figured it out.

You keep right on believing that if you want. You're not my problem.

Anyone can paint the bricks without permission

I'm not sure the Elev_onStart and stop events are working. I am attempting to restrict the ability for people to input commands into the elevator unless the elevator is stopped. So I set up an onStart even which disables the ability to input commands. And then an onStop event which re-enables the ability to input commands, but also toggles between sending the elevator one direction or another. But the events do not seem to get toggled at all.

I could always make an arrival brick to toggle the events, but ehh.

Wtf?

I did crash a couple times, but I figured that was because I also had buildable vehicles enabled and I was blowing things up with crc weapons in 5x scale
Anyways, overall the mod seems to be working pretty well. It's very smooth and doesn't seem to be buggy at all actually. I'm not taking sides, but unless the crashing is because of this, I don't see much reason to complain

Hey, so a neat addition to the "Add Part" would be a tool much like a duplicator to select the part and detect any surrounding parts in the elevator that would be built onto it.

Fact:  Other than still being a great coder, Xalos isn't Gabe loving Newell.  Shouldn't expect too much from a small community like this, and furthermore this is the first time since v21 that elevators were able to work.

Gabe Newell isn't good at anything, however.
