You speak gun, tell me what just happened.
The bullet dispersed into fragments to cause severe internal injury. Since it's hitting a metal plate it's doing the job more cleaner. It's how it's designed.

The more internal injury you can cause the most likely your target isn't going to get back up or fight another day.

I take it that's Hollow-Point.
That explains why everyone says "never use hollow point ammunition on armored targets."
It's basically shooting painballs at titanium alloy.

Well it ain't going to pierce, yeah.

Dumb it down for me...

Dumb it down for me...

Bullets breaks into shards which are inside of your body

Figure out the rest.

Dumb it down for me...
It explodes into pieces inside of you.
It does a neater job of exploding into pieces when it hits a metal plate.
The more pieces that it can explode into inside of you the less likely you are to fight back.

Can someone explain to me in detail about how innefective the Desert Eagle is? I already understand that recoil and the fact that you're shooting a freaking .50 out of a handgun are two major issues, but what other problems are a part of it?
Is designed for security guards to punch a hole in the egine of a car trying to run a check point.

that's a new one on me

Well, if the point you're guarding is actually worth trying to kill someone attempting to run it then you're going to have a rifle of some kind most likely. Also, you can stall a car with a 9mm handgun if you know where you're shooting.

It costs money to train people to shoot at stuff, and not everybody drives one specific type of car.
It's easier to hand them a gun that can shoot through stuff easy and tell them to "aim at the engine" than to train them to stop a car with a smaller gun. Rifles are bulky and don't work well in short range combat. It's easier to fight with a pistol overall because it's inexpensive and easy to use in combat.

You're never going to give security detail a desert eagle, that's for sure. There's a reason people use every common handgun EXCEPT the desert eagle as a sidearm.

Well, I'm not saying they do give desert eagles to security guards, I was just explaining why they would use them. (if they did)

my grandpa carries a desert eagle when he goes hunting

he says he wants to know for a fact that when he shoots the bear it's "loving dead."

A .50 round is about 3 dollars.
A 5.56mm round is only about 25 cents.
>inexpensive
A desert eagle can tear your tendons if you don't know how to use it properly.
An average AR15-style weapon is reliable at not breaking your arm and ripping/tearing your tendons/muscle.
>easy to use
