Author Topic: 5 Reasons Why The World Wont End in 12 hours  (Read 2210 times)

Hello everyone, lately in the past 3 years everyone has been going around saying the same old crap: "Worlds ending in 2012!!11"
Actually, its not. Here is five reasons why
1. If it was going to end, how would it happen in all those timezones?? Like if it started in america it probably wouldn't make sense because,
how do you make the world end all at once at a specific time? That wouldn't be possible.
2. How long before the world actually ends? About 5,000,000,000 years from now as seen on wikipedia. The sun wouldn't explode in the next 1000 years, or even the next 500,000,000 years from now, although it probably would end by that time.
3. Nobody can tell when it is going to exactly end. And it wouldn't end until a long time from now.
4. There is no evidence of the mayans saying it will end in 2012, or even in any year. Not one mayan has said anything predicting the end of the world.
5. Even though the mayan calendar cant fit anything more once the 21st is here, it doesn't mean the world would end. They could probably just create another one and go on from then. And when our calendar ends, it always starts again, and Im not exact but im guessing when the mayan calendar ends, they make another one.

People, you got to stop worrying. It wont happen.

They're lying and we're all going to die!

1. It'd be at the timezone where the Mayans were, I imagine.
2. The world can end in other ways.
3. You just repeated 1 and 2.
4. Proof?
5. It sounds like you're trying to convince yourself.

1. most people say it'll end when the furthest time zone touching the right side of the international date line hits 21st (or maybe the left side idk)

2. if the earth isn't blown up by earthborne cause, we'll probably last about twenty billion years until the sun blows up, so i've heard

3. it won't

4. the mayans themselves said it's fake

5. it marks the next long term in mayan timetelling i believe, i think it was called the Baktung

1. It'd be at the timezone where the Mayans were, I imagine. -Its just not possible, it wouldn't end everywhere at the same exact time.
2. The world can end in other ways. -Yes, but everyone just predicts it, I mean look on wikipedia.
3. You just repeated 1 and 2. -Kindof
4. Proof? -Google it
5. It sounds like you're trying to convince yourself. -No not at all.
Well most people on this forum just think its going to happen.

How long before the world actually ends? About 500,000,000 years from now.
no
it'll take a lot less time than that lol
unless, by the world ending, you mean the actual planet being entirely destroyed

No one takes into consideration that Mayans didn't have leap years.

If it was going to end, how would it happen in all those timezones??
the mayans used their own calandar, not ours you stupid. after translating theirs to ours, it ends at 12/21/12 at 5:10am central time.

Even though the mayan calendar cant fit anything more once the 21st is here
you are clearly handicapped and have never seen the mayan calendar lol. and you seem to think they used our modern calendar based on sundowns, and not the accurate galactic calendar they made for themselves

No one takes into consideration that Mayans didn't have leap years.

the mayan calendar came first. the date on the 21st is OUR translation based on THEIR calendar.
and obviously when we did the math in the 60s, we took leap year into account...
god you people are stupid

aka 5 things everyone already considered long ago

the leap years thing is kind of invalid though

i mean like, i'm pretty sure they took into account for that .25, they didn't run by the same years system we did

but considering they believed in multiple gods and sacrificing their own people, we probably shouldn't listen to them.

So you think we are going to die?  I'll drive out to your house on Friday morning and die with you if you want.

The same reason the world wont end on the 22nd or 23rd or 24

Well most people on this forum just think its going to happen.
No?

When the psuedo-scientists who found this calendar translated it to our time they probably accounted for leap years. It's as simple as ignoring leap days and considering a year 365.25 days, the true number.
