It has 2 GPUs in it. It hold 2 graphics processors on 1 board. It's not overkill, it's long-lasting.
Can the 2 GPUs work in parallel or are they only useful for multi displays?
I know this is off topic, but are there any ways to improve your graphic card performance?
Overclocking. Depending on your card, you can get up to a 25% gain in clock speed. For example, this means that you can get your overclocked 7870 card to perform on par with the much more expensive 7970 card. HOWEVER, oc'ing can be harmful to your card. If you don't know what you're doing (like me :D), don't oc, or limit yourself to a small oc.
How much did this cost? It would be sick in my Flight Simulator.
Bought it and built it at around ~$1230, spent about $500 more on a Corsair H100 cooler, card reader bay, fans, LED strips and obviously the keyboard/mouse/monitor setup
I don't rhink overclocking would work because my card is around Radeon HD 4k something. So it sucks for me. :(
Screenshots would have been bit better if they were jpeg
