Yes. I would contribute 20$ to an engine switch.

CryEngine 3 does look good but, I can't see it being used for blockland.

I'm not sure if this is our best bet. But I think DirectX would be good.
Like if we ever switched.

What about this?
http://www.heroengine.com/
cubelands we are not switching engines and stop being so stupid

Also I think if we did switch to DirectX Even though I dont really think its gonna happen, We might would've had a shot at buildable vehicles.

DirectX is for rendering, It makes pretty pictures.

How old is torque game engine anyway?

It's barely even the Torque Engine anymore. Badspot has changed so many things over the past few years.

You've been here since march 2011 have you?

Yeah so much evolution you've seen. Remember when events came out and our minds were blown? good times.
Remember when he made the addon system use zip files so it was more idiot proof?
How about when the game first came out and it was so good after years of 0002?

I went back and played 0002 a week ago, And it was awful.
Although i do miss stretching bricks a bit, And pigs backyard. And the ugly gui's filled with options.
And that map that was the inside of a computer.
And that guy who made huge fantasy castle maps.
Please tell me you're joking. Please?

I don't understand the point of your post. You told a 3k that they were only playing since 2011, and told me them that I haven't seen Blockland grow.

This is a very, very bad idea.

Think of all the work and time the dev team took to make Blockland what it is now and you want it to be all gone? I know Torque isn't the greatest engine, but you got to know how much time was spent, what costs there were, etc. I haven't been playing for as long as most of you, but I know how hard it is to make a game like this.

I mean, there isn't really anything really wrong at this moment with Blockland (except for intel) but we can still play it. In fact, There are Barely any limits with Blockland; and you want it all gone?

@tails: Also, I do remember all of that. But the add-ons were zipped for organization. And events came out before Badspot made his default. The old ones had a round colorful button in the center of the wrench dialog. I go all the way back to when floating vehicles was a big step. Like Nitramj's boats that had a speedometer and were controlled by Pg Up and Pg Down. And heedicalkings boats that he always hosted. Oh an who could forget the original Titanic by bones4.

recreating about a decade of work in what would presumably be an unfamiliar work environment when it probably be more efficient to continue modifying to current engine to achieve whatever small benefits the other might offer
great idea

@bejacks: I said change the engine. Not delete the game.
