Check the tracking info dude.
Well no stuff. Either he wasn't given one or lost it. I already brought it up with him and either way we don't have one. I'm not a loving idiot I track packages all the time.

so i put together a budget parts list on a whim, can anyone give any critique?

i haven't done any research on it really, i just put it together because i'm bored. my friends are both strapped on cash and stuck with stuffty builds so i want it to be affordable but powerful enough for modern gaming for them.

drop the expensive case and get a better psu, it's not like all the parts are going to look good together anyway. maybe get a longer gpu with 2 fans instead of one? some sff cards are pretty loud but idk about the 960

getting a $60 case gives you an extra $80 to spend on an ssd and a quality psu, the evga 550gs is a pretty good $65~ psu and loads better than any corsair psu below $100

I've always been a fan of the Logitech G502 mouse.
I want one of these so bad but they're expensive

how's this?

Case is way too expensive for a budget build, don't get a Z97 board if you're not going to overclock, the WD Blue is cheaper than the Black yet has nearly identical performance and you can get a better-quality PSU for half the money. Try this:

$60 for something you're using to literally control your PC with and do so for thousands of hours doesn't sound so bad.

elaborate because a 10 dollar mouse does the same job

but a 60 dollar mouse will do it better. got to have that flick of the wrist headshots yo

I'm using an $8 mouse at the moment and it is a world's worth of a difference.

windows have mouse sensitivity settings, right?
you can just lower the sensitivity to have more precision

can you list those differences because i was thinking about getting a regular mouse instead of a specialized 'gaming' mouse like the g502 but now you've piqued my curiosity

nononono. there's differences in sensor quality and whatnot. there's a huge difference in quality between the cheap mouse i used to use and the taipan i use now.

sensitivity =/= dpi, or tracing speed.

a cheap mouse cannot competitively game on a shooter.
its not even a skill issue, that bit of hardware will win out of 2 equal skill level players.
