i have to outdo you on every thing so i'm getting something slightly above your build (meanly oc'd 7950s, which is in the ballpark of 7990 power and a 26", a 24", and a 24")
And I have to outdo you both by getting 3 27" screens
hah

Also if anyone can find me a triple monitor stand that 1. supports 24" monitors, 2. is under $150 and 3. has good reviews that would be lovely

You're not getting a triple monitor stand. They are all super expensive. The only decent one I saw was the XFX one, which is $370. It hurt to buy but it was worth it.

Doing 2 GTX 670s in SLI + 3 24" monitors as well. The mismatching monitors you want to do will look really weird even though they're a similar res.

so i'm downgrading to a few 23" monitors for the sake of matching, and with the money freed from that i'm switching my case out for a corsair 300R, and adding more cooling along with it. what are some suggestions for quiet 120mm/140mm fans?

i got a new computer i dont know if i posted

3.4GHz Ivy Bridge quad-core
8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 RAM
GTX 660 Ti 2GB graphics card
128GB Samsung 830 SSD (Boot Drive)
2TB Seagate HDD (Storage Drive)
Dual-band (2.4GHz+5GHz) Wireless, up to 450Mbps
4 USB ports in the front (two 2.0, two 3.0)
8 USB ports in the back (six 2.0, two 3.0)

ALRIGHT, LISTEN UP, I GOT A PROBLEM AND IT'S PISSING ME OFF

So recently, I built a new computer, and it worked fine for the first few weeks or so. Then, it started freezing. Not random freezes, mind you. It developed an oddly specific habit of freezing anywhere between 2-5 minutes after startup. I have Windows 7 Professional and an AMD Phenom II x4, but I can hardly imagine the processor freezing because of the strain of running windows. When it freezes, the mouse can move for a few seconds, then that freezes too, and the numlock key won't work while it's frozen, indicating a CPU issue.

Sometimes I'll get lucky and it will live past those initial 5 minutes and run with no problem forever. I'm using the stock cooler, but no overclocking involved, and the CPU idles at 39 degrees and never gets to any sort of dangerous heat level, and it never goes past 75% load.

Has anyone ever dealt with this stuffballs annoying issue or one similar?

I moved my PC back into my room and now my speakers are making a constant squealing noise. It's rather quiet. They used to make it whenever the computer was off, but they remained silent whenever it was turned on. Any help?
nevermiiiiiiiiiiind i fixed it. the volume on the speakers wasnt set at the highest point

I never understood super quiet fans. I have a Cooler Master HAF X, with stock fans and an additional 230mm fan. I have never had problems with it being loud, the only thing I thought was super loud was the Corsair H80 at full speed.

Today my brilliant friend who has broken items that are more expensive than your entire computer was finally building his new comp after the i7 incident...
He got it up and running, installed all the drivers and started playing some games after installing steam.
Then his entire computer shut down. What was the problem? He thought that it would make the CPU life longer if the stock cooler's thermal paste never touched the CPU or something, so he kept the plastic on his CPU Cooler (stock intel one, may i mind you).
His mobo and processor are fried, though he got a waranty this time so it's probably going to be covered...
... he hopes.
your friend is loving stupid
really loving stupid

All I can tell you is that you shouldn't have spent $280 on an OS, should've just gotten Home Premium and put the rest of the money towards a CPU or better GPU, I also would've gotten a Caviar Black instead of a Caviar Blue and 2x2GB sticks of RAM instead of 1x4GB, each stick can only handle so many operations at once regardless of speed, spreading the workload over multiple sticks instead of one is always a good idea, I have 4x2GB sticks myself

I don't even know where to begin to tell you what you did wrong... asfasjb

I literally knelt and prayed to Allah that you didn't buy that
