ALRIGHT, LISTEN UP, I GOT A PROBLEM AND IT'S PISSING ME OFF
So recently, I built a new computer, and it worked fine for the first few weeks or so. Then, it started freezing. Not random freezes, mind you. It developed an oddly specific habit of freezing anywhere between 2-5 minutes after startup. I have Windows 7 Professional and an AMD Phenom II x4, but I can hardly imagine the processor freezing because of the strain of running windows. When it freezes, the mouse can move for a few seconds, then that freezes too, and the numlock key won't work while it's frozen, indicating a CPU issue.
Sometimes I'll get lucky and it will live past those initial 5 minutes and run with no problem forever. I'm using the stock cooler, but no overclocking involved, and the CPU idles at 39 degrees and never gets to any sort of dangerous heat level, and it never goes past 75% load.
Has anyone ever dealt with this stuffballs annoying issue or one similar?
